Josh Biondi
I tested the stinger 9x21 for a major gunpress here in Italy. The recoil master seems us to work fine. However if you wanna change it you must find a guide rod that have the same length of the recoil master. If you are able to find one let me know who produce it. About the recoil spring weight start from 12 lbs to go down until you find the right one for you.
dansy
I also have a Stinger....since dec 2004....anyway you cannot use a longer reverse plug on this gun due to the Comp is in the way and doesn't have enough material to be milled to permit the uses of a longer reverse plug. So you have to use the same lenght....not sure there would be any advantage.....compare to the RM Edited February 20, 2006 by dansy
DJPoLo
I tested the stinger 9x21 for a major gunpress here in Italy. I was wondering why STI was hunting around for 9x21 ammo last month... -Chet
johnlt3
Richard, If I were you I would call Allen at Sprinco in Austin, Texas. I have a Stinger that I use as a steel gun only( minor loads). When my RM started to fail I asked Allen if he could help me because I wanted to use his product in my Stinger. Once I got it back I put a few thousand rounds through it and took off to California for Steel Challenge. Not one failure during the match! After the tournament I have not had any problems until recently. After I replaced the well worn out spring with a nice new spring it is running perfect once again. Take a look at a Recoil Master and put it side by side with a Sprinco and tell me which one looks more durable. I have a Sprinco in my limited gun with well over 20,000 rounds and no failures or complaints. The number for Sprinco is 800 397-9530
Josh Biondi
Yeah!!! I agree with johnlt3 Sprinco recoilreducer is a must. I also use it on a STI edge 40S&W standard division from 47.000 rounds and it works still fine. Try to call and probabily you'll solve the question... dansy
So Sprinco make one that is 3.9" like the RM because any longer and it will hit the comp.......
