I'm tee'd up to do a major components buy during Black Friday.Ā Ā

Thought I'd start a thread to catch deals in one place.Ā Ā šŸ˜‰

Ā

What have you guys seen for BLACK FRIDAY deals in the past?Ā šŸ˜ƒ

Ā

I'm going to be checking Brass Monkey, Summit City, Blue Bullets for cases of 9mm 124'sĀ

It's all for practice so I'm hunting to get the cost down...plated, coated...whatever.Ā šŸ˜‰

Ā

I'll be hunting some VV320, processed cases and SPP too.

Hoping there will be some deals!

Ā

AND if I get really crazy... press automation.šŸ¤©Ā  I almost jumped when Mark 7 they were giving the 1k off, probably would now.Ā šŸ˜

SyA primers seem to be a little iffy depending on what type of gun you shoot.Ā  That price is the same as Republic Ammunition but includes free shipping.Ā  I have 2000 of them to test and my first 50 are loaded.Ā  Once I get a chance to run them it will be in a Glock with a Timney Trigger, a Ruger PC Carbine and a Dan Wesson PM9.Ā  So if they run in all 3 they will be a winner in my book.Ā Ā

I just finished my first 1000 SyAs, no failures to go "bang" primarily in a Limited .40 and a couple hundred split between a Glock 19 clone and Shadow 2. Seem just fine to me and at the current price I think they are a good value.

I've gone through about three thousand primers in striker fired, DA/SA and 1911's (9mm).Ā  No problems at all.Ā  In fact they seem to load easier in the 1050 than the WW primers.

How are these? Dont have many feedback on these primers

I think someone claimed that they had the same hardness as CCI. So far they have worked fine for me but I donā€™t have any light hammers either.Ā

In my experience they go bang, but they are a bit harder like old CCI's.Ā  In my Shadow 2, the 11.5 lb hammer spring from CGW that most use was not 100%.Ā  A 12lb from BSPS got me back to 100% reliability.Ā  At 3.8c though, you need to pay another 2c per primer to get something of noticeably better quality, which is a 50% premium.

I'll deal with a slightly heavier trigger, but that's just my opinion.

Has anyone bought from goastrasports? Itā€™s not a place that I have bought from before and this seems like a really good deal.

I have purchased from Astra as well as others I shoot with.Ā  I just ordered 10,000 primers.Ā  They are good to go.

I got an order in from them on Friday.Ā  Ordered on Sunday.Ā  UPS had a slight delay or they would have made it on Thursday.Ā  Haven't loaded any yet but the feedback seems fine.

Midsouth is doing free hazmat

Ā

American Reloading has a bunch of discounts, but it's American Reloading so whether they have what you need is a crapshoot. Always worth checking though!

Ā

Republic Ammunition is down to $38/1k on S&A primers (which, to echo others, have been working well for me)

Ā

Raven Rocks Precision has various stuff on sale... the 115gr JHPs they sell are great, $78/1k

Summit City has great prices on bullets, even better when on sale. I've bought several thousand in the past year. They have been very backlogged lately. The order I placed, and paid for, on the 21st of last month is just now getting shipped.

At this point I can't recommend Summit City anymore.Ā

Waiting on an order over 2.5 months old for 9K.

Ā

Running a business is hard these days with instant shipping available.

Yeah that is my fear. Ā I can wait a month, but two would be not good. Ā I ordered from them last year and it took them a month to get me my bullets.
