ErikW
I shot a low round count match with ammo I loaded a few years ago: 124 JHP over 3N38 and Win SR primer. No problems. So it's not the gun.

I would burn up the Wolf with 124s and good riddance.
JonasAberg
Is it possible the bottom of the case/primer pocket was clogged with mud? On a handful of occasions after collecting brass after a rainy match, I've later found cases with mud at the bottom. I've always wondered what would happen if I actually loaded and fired those. OPENB
I wet cleaned a batch of brass once, and did not get them completely dry before loading. I had the same experience you described. When I started pulling them apart, I found the contaminated round had clumped powder, some that was still wet. Check for water contamination. perttime
I had the wet case situation once. With a revolver. It was just one round, and the bullet got stuck between cylinder and barrel. The primer went off but the case still had the wet powder in it.
