RJL123
Hi you guys. This is first time here. I am wondering if anyone has noticed scoring on the breechface of any of the various Glock models. These are very visible and run vertically on the face. I have never seen any thing like them on any other gun and was wondering what they are from. I can't imagine that they are from the brass case sliding on it. Anyone know? Thanks.
EricW
They're in all likelihood machining marks from when the gun was made. Don't worry about it. You probably just got the slide made with the dull cutter. Fear not. The surface finish of a Glock is so hard they will never get worse & eventually brass from the cases will fill in the voids. As long as the gun functions properly, I wouldn't worry about it. E
shred
Yeah, mine have that. The ones I haven't shot enough. They're machining marks and nothing to worry about in a Glock.
RJL123
Thanks for the info. Gun shoots fine. It was puzzling because the rest of the gun shows decent quality control in the machining and finish. Have seen this on older 23s and 19s but my 36 doesn't show it at all. Mark IV Series 80
This is "normal wear" on a Glock breechface.
