jeremy kemlo
Has anyone use the Tandemkross or M Carbo bolt buffer? I have one sitting on my bench, but I’ve not installed it yet. I taped the buffer directly to the back of the bolt and then dropped it several inches onto the concrete floor. The M carbo buffer bounces back considerably more than the stock buffer. That energy is going to make the bolt go forward faster than the stock bolt. It’s like dropping the bolt onto a hard piece of plastic (stock)versus a thin rubber bouncy ball. (Mcarbe) for those of you who have tried the M carbo buffer does it help, does it do nothing except maybe change a little of the noise, or does the bolt going forward faster make it worse? bigdawgbeav
You might notice a small difference. I have the TK buffer and love it. Link to comment
Almo
I have the Mcarbo buffer. Like bigdawgbeav says, the difference is really subtle. But time will tell if it saves wear on my bolt. It's like an insurance policy. Link to comment
jeremy kemlo
I could not tell any difference. Link to comment
rpm8300
I ran the M Carbo, I think it made a small difference; of all the mods I did, the TG9 trigger had the biggest impact. I played with different spring weights and the gun was super flat with 147 Blues and fast power - a very small charge made 132PF with very little movement of the dot. Link to comment
cmysix
The buffer is there "just in case" your bolt IS NOT meant to make contact every time it cycles, I went with the TK buffer and the heavier spring and SS "C" clip. cycles perfectly with standard 9MM and should be able to handle +P .
