MJinPA
Loading on a 650 and got a few of these recently. Thoughts on what might be causing?
mmc45414
Might be some debris on top of the primer seater punch that is not letting them sit flat.
AKJD
I had the same problem recently. I disassembled the primer assembly and did a thorough cleaning then lubricated per Dillons instructions and that fixed the problem.
Nathanb
I’ve had a couple of my bench wasn’t level or I’m able to rock it.
sharko
AS AKJD said take the primer system apart and clean&lube it. Next make sure your shell plate is not loose. Some times I would get these and sometimes I wouldn't, seems every time I started getting sideways primers the shellplate was loose enough to rock/tip. Furrly
Make sure the spring to the primer puch is not worn out. I had to switch mine out at about 20k rounds. This will cause sideway primers as well.

If that spring breaks, it makes for even more excitement as primers will occasionally get launched, which is real fun when one hits the press frame just right and goes off.. BTDT on a 1050.
