WaJim
I attended an IDPA match last weekend, usually shoot the other one :). Guy shooting CCP says IDPA dropped CCP power factor to 105? Really? I'm massaging a CZ75 Compact for my Wife to shoot that division.... At a point the load wont expand the shell in the chamber tight enough to keep the gun clean....ish Years ago I tried dropping a Colt Officer 1911 to 125pf for this Division....it got really dirty, fast. Anyone have good results with that load? and would you go heavy bullet or light? Thinking light would have more powder. GOF
A 110 PF with a 124 bullet would be about 885 fps. I doubt if that would reliably cycle the action.
Racinready300ex
125's loaded to 110 pf will run my stock P01 omega. Still surprisingly snappy from that little aluminum gun.
Jim Watson
I worked down to f 118 which I use in a Glock 43 for GSSF Pocket. I did not try to go lighter.
Scotty_JR
I tried someone's CCP ammo in my 4" PDP with a lighter RS and it failed to lock back on the last round. I didn't get to test much, though. But I don't think it would run reliably in my particular gun.
WaJim
Thanks Guys.... I'm loading the 124's today and we shal see.....stock recoil spring in the compact is pretty stiff. I usually shoot 147's Going to use the same powder charge.
JWhit
I just got an M&P 2.0 metal with a TLR 7a WML to run reliably + lock back at 108 PF. 2.6 grains TG under a 147. Fits in the CCP box with 10 round mags (shaved down) and Dawson fixed sights. Amazingly, this worked with the stock recoil spring, but I have a 13# enroute for continued testing. Jim Watson
My one foray into CCP was with my M&P Mk 1 with my ESP ammo. Now with lighter loads and 10+1 it should be an "easy button."
CeeZar
I'm loading 3.2 grains of TG over 124 JHP Montana Gold for my wife shooting a P10C. This makes about 110PF and is super accurate. Stock recoil assembly has no problems cycling. The only problem right now is getting more bullets. Montana Golds are hard to get so I'm hoping to work up a similar load with Precision Deltas.
