How to reduce red sun reflections off rear lens of c-more slideride?

My wife and are are practicing later in the day with the sun basically at 4:30 or so.  The sun reflects off the rear lens creates a bright red splash on the body of the c-more and is incredibly distracting.  Any suggestions?  There are a few gadgets out there, but they don't appear to address this problem.  Worst case I'll hold an umbrella while my wife shoots. No problem with my trusty iron sights.

The economy version works better, cut to length and tape to the scope.  Works at the objective lens as a cheap sunshade on LVPO scopes for 3 gun too.

Would have been my next approach after I got tired of holding up an umbrella.  I looked at the spiffy GR gadget but didn't want to spend the money (x2 Mamba-X) since it's not really a match issue and the performance would be limited at some sun angles.  It's hitting winter here so I'm not wishing the sun away.
