Hollowpoints vs round nose

Any preference of why one would chose loading HP vs round nose?  Mainly shooting USPSA.  HP make a bigger hole on cardboard just in case we need to touch the perf, lol?

Yep. “Round nose bullets” have exposed lead base

I have found that as a general rule the HPs are more accurate than round nose also.

Best of both worlds is Precision Delta V2 JHP. Affordable, round shoulder, covered base and HP. Extremely consistent weights at 124+ as well

The only issue I've had (and it's rare) with JHP bullets is that media can get stuck in the hollow point and come out at the worst moment, causing a FTF.  That said, I still prefer them over all other bullets.

I blow them clean with mini compressor while in the Hundo gauge

I’ve been loading 135 TC from blue bullets.  And my tanfo is extremely accurate and constant. I wanna try the hp v2’s from m.g.

Have you had any feeding issues with the the original “truncated” style of HP that led you to the round V2?

Up until recently I've always used Zero JHP's but they raised their price considerably so I started using PD V2's and they work great. 115 JHP's for minor and 125 JHP's for major. As for round nose they have never been as accurate as HP's for me from testing in a Ransom rest.

My favs are Hornady 115 HAP, Zero 115 JHP and good heavy plated bullets in that order.  115 JHPs for major.  124 RN plated for minor.  Plenty accurate enough for SCSA.

I started with the v2, used hornaday 125 HAP before, zero issues
