Magwell on x5 Legion

Think I know the answer to this but want to go to the experts. I know the USPSA rule on magwell in CO - have been shooting it since it began. Just got the Sig today and this is the first Sig I have owned shooting primarily XDM in the past. Like I say I know the rule but in looking at some match videos I see some shooting with it on. A friend who is a M level shooter says that if it comes that way from the factory it is ok. So, help me out here as I have no desire to get moved to open. Can take it off no problem but it also then takes away from the look of the gun along with reloading issues.

Thanks for the help and the understanding.

Actually it's too wide for IDPA.  It's 1.6" wide.  IDPA's limit is 1.5".

I ran a legion with magwell in IDPA for 1.5 years at multiple level 3 matches and have seen them at nationals the past 2 years so I’m positive it’s good to go. Maybe there’s a typo on gun/box dimensions or could be the gun is able to be tilted inside box to fit.

I just measured the stock one the Legion came with and it's 1.61".  Yet is does clear the box if you push down on the back of the slide which causes it to pivot on the slide stop lever.

He may be a M level shooter but he has a D level understanding of the rule book.
