M1911
I would like to get my Shadow 2 slide milled to direct mount an SRO. I do not want a plate system. Who have you used and would you use them again?
robertwyatt
Impact machine does a great job. They’re worth checking out for sure.
crg
I'm going with CZC because they offer a plate system in case you don't want to commit to just one footprint.

I specifically don’t want a plate system — more potential points of failure and it puts the red dot higher over the bore. I understand the reasons why someone would want one, but for me the RMR footprint is fine.
fbzero
I have one done by Primary Machine and sent them another a few weeks ago. Most of the local guys I know who shoot CZ's and have had milling done used them and all had good things to say. MNshooter
I have 2 from CZ Custom either plate system. Fast turnaround and I’ve not had any issues. The plate system is the way to go.
mSNACKS
I have direct milled both sp01 shadow and shadow 2 for sro. Cajun gun works did my shadaow 2 and lightened the slide. Fire4effect did my sp01 shadow. I would recommend and use either company again.

Pretty cool, IMO. Sorry just wanted to bring that up. I would go impact machine as well. Would normally recommend fire 4 effect, thet mill so low they need a relief for the SRO lens. But I believe they are closed up.

Bakerjd
I've had CZ Custom, Patriot Defense and Cajun do direct mill and all did a great job. Patriot probably has the fastest turn around time.
TheChef1
Anyone use stone bridge? $134 bucks and they milk it super deep. They also put a relief cut in the slide under the lense of the SRO

WYgunner
I am placing an order with primary machine for the exact same thing today. Still trying to decide on the Harbinger 1 or 2...
