230gr Blue Bullets Unique, TG or Sport Pistol

So I'm looking to load up some 230gr Blues with one of the above powders.  I don't have a ton of Unique but I wouldn't mind using it up.

Any one of these better or worse for making major out of a 5" 1911?

I probably will only shoot it now and then in IDPA/USPSA for a change of pace, mainly will just see fun range time now and then.

Thanks

TG not really suitable for coated as it has a tendency to melt the coating. It’ll work but it’s smoky so that pretty much leaves one of the other two unless you don’t mind the haze.

Ditto on tight group.

I ran a bunch of scenarios when powder was last available.  Coated 45 at barely major for 1911 was motivating me to add something a little more specific than WST to the bench and sell off my 231 stash.  I settled on E3, but...

Unique seems to be the do-all powder for 45.  Seems like you could make yourself happy and use that up.  Sport Pistol is on my list to try someday.  Seems I found a bunch of happy threads on the internet for it and American Select if I hadn't gone with E3.  Case fill was a priority for me.  Unique and Sport Pistol both check that box.

Thanks, I haven't noticed too much issues with TG and Blues in 9 and 40 in terms of smoke or leading.

I will start with Unique though so I can burn through the last of that, hoping to start setting up the 550 tonight for that (new caliber to me) and clean some brass.
