That’s a fine blaster. I took off my grip tape and immediately regretted it.

Funny, I took my grip tape off recently and wish I had done it sooner. I prefer the chalk without it

I need to find someone that mills MOS slides, I’d definitely rather use milled slide than a plate.

stock striker spring, I tested it out with a 13lb spring and shot a match with it yesterday, no problem at all. My load is about 132-135, I think lower than that you might run into problems.

I had a gen5 slide blank milled for a similar setup.  I modified it to accept a longslide 1911 recoil spring.  All that preload let’s me run an 11# equivalent spring and still have plenty of oomph to close the slide against a 5# striker spring.  So even though peak spring force is reduced, it’s near factory in battery.  Also made a fat tungsten guide rod to match.

In case you’re interested, Johnny Glock is selling a return spring that gives a better reset than the red Timney spring. It’s a nice improvement.

I have several of them, found that the black spring (JG) works better in my Gen 3 setup while the red spring Timney) works better in the Gen 5.
