louu
I like black rear sights and have a fiber optic Dawson rear on a gun. Is there any black rod I can melt in there to replace the red?
Jmo2011
Take a bristle out of a broom. It’ll get you by.

shred
Dawson sells black and white inserts for their fiber sights in .040 and .060 sizes. Ten bucks will get you ten of each color. https://dawsonprecision.com/replacement-inserts-for-fiber-optic-sights-black-and-white-060/ https://dawsonprecision.com/replacement-inserts-for-fiber-optic-sights-black-and-white-040/

Cuz
This is exactly what I was looking for. A way to plug the holes on my rear fiber optic sight to make it all black. Now I just gotta find out what diameter fiber I need for the LakeLine TX22 fixed sights.

I'm waiting till I need more stuff from Dawson to try the ones they sell but in the meantime I did the broom bristles and it actually looks awesome. You just have to peel the bristle like string chease until it's the right size. Edited January 8, 2022 by louu

shred
1.5mm will be 0.060" in "old money" as the Brits like to say.
