ScottEslick
I have a 550c and loading 9mm, 50% of the time the spent primer misses the chute and they go everywhere. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks Scott

Sniperboy
I've tried all the mods and gadgets but I think what ultimately helped is adjusting the decapping pin so it is as far back as possible. I think the main issue for me is the pin protruding so much it sends the spent primer flying during decapping and not so much it missing the spent primer funnel at the upstroke. YMMV. Not doing anything wrong, the 550 will occasionally not drop primers into the cup, something to do with distance when it's dropped. There are many 3D printed fixes for this. Here's an example: Edited September 19, 2021 by HesedTech

Kokeman
I designed and 3D printed this for the top of the catch can. I also put tape on either side of the collapsible thing underneath to help catch the primers. Then I modified a safety pin to be used as a spring to make sure it opens every time. I no longer have a problem. Edited September 20, 2021 by Kokeman
Bill H
I cut a piece of bicycle inner tube about 2 inches long and use it as an extension around the primer cup. I cut one end on a little angle. Now it is completely preventing primer jumps
