BoulderDash
Hi all, ย I joined today because this seems to be one place where people actually talk about Remington Versamax shotguns. ย I happened to be in the right place at the right timeย as a (chain) gun store was going out of business and bought a Versamax Sportsman for $400.ย ย I purchased a Briley Mfg extension tube for the shotgun and installed. After installation I got about 200 rounds through the gun and the extension tube flew off the gun. Threads are ruined.ย ย I need two things: (1) Locate a factory magazine tube - Does anyone know if Benelli magazine tubes work on the versamax? I know there is a lot of parts interchangeability between M2/M4 and VM.ย (2) What Versamax extension tube would you guys suggest? ย Thank you! TonytheTiger
The way I'm reading this, the aluminum ext. nut flew off the gun and destroyed the steel threads on the factory tube? That's rough. How are the threads on the Briley tube? Did it thread on hard? Just thinking out loud that the nut threads may have been out of spec to begin with and caused all this. kurtm
No the factory tubes are not the same. Might try Roth seems to me he made a captured tube system for the Remington. The guys that make the X-Rail.
