Forgive me if this is obvious or answered somewhere else on the forum..

 

If a competitor is shooting a DA/SA gun with an external hammer, like a CZ, does that fall under DA, SA, or Selective Action under 8.1.2? Ultimately trying to verify correct ready condition for a semi auto with an external hammer that does have a safety. 

1) hammer down, safety on

2)hammer down, safety off

3)hammer up, safety on

DA/SA is what selective action refers to. 
See Appendix A3 glossary definition of Selective Action.

What division you enter has a requirement. Open ,limited ,limited 10 would be hammer back safety on.

All other divisions hammer down.

Not for SCSA. Rimfire divisions is hammer back safety off, everythingle else (USPSA divisions go by same start as in USPSA)
