zzt
2.6gr e3 under a 124. Super soft and quiet. Sub 100 PF.
Yeti
124JHP, 3.9gr N320 very soft ~119PF. Consider trying some 147gr loads. 147JHP, 3.3gr IMR Target, soft & quiet ~124PF.
RogerS
You can also consider shooting 158 grain .356 bullets, if I remember correctly, 3 grains of N320 will make a 125 power factor and is super soft and hits steel like a hammer
jeffz
For those that reload for subsonic 9mm what velocity and bullet weight combinations are you using? Are you trying to achieve minor power factor? I am a non competitor, but want to shoot my reloads as close to minor as possible, yet achieve subsonic. I am shooting 115gr Blue Bullets over 5.8gr of Unique. The velocity should be about 1100 fps ( I have not used chronograph on the load just extrapolated from the load tables). The speed of sound is temperature and altitude dependent. I found this table and at the 2000 foot altitude I shoot, it should be subsonic. AHI
The 115s will still have a"crack" when fired. A 147 or 160 at 900 fps. Will not. The altitude, temperature and humidity . Have less true effect. Than what the Charts imply. If you want subsonic it has to always be low enough . No matter what the Temp, humidity, altitude is. bigdawgbeav
All my chrono results are out of pistol-length barrels, but here is what I have in the sub-minor, sub-sonic chart... 115gr Blue Bullet - 2.9gr Clays = 892fps 115gr Brazos - 2.9gr Clays = 937fps 125gr Gallant - 2.9gr Clays = 918fps 125gr Gallant - 3.1gr Sport Pistol = 932fps 147gr PC Bullet - 3.3gr Sport Pistol = 927fps I have more, but that should help a little. Darqusoull13
3.4 - 3.5 gr of Sport Pistol should get you a nice load. 3.1- 3.2 gr of N320, Bullseye or Titegroup should also be nice. My 10.5" with an Omega 9k was stupid quiet with those.
