What are spent primers worth these days?

I've been saving the spent primers from my 550 into a jug for a few years now.  I have a few pounds collected.  Does anyone know what a pound of spent primers is worth at the recycling center?  What kind of place do you bring them to?  I probably have about 10 pounds, so it's not like it's a fortune or anything.  I was just wondering what you are all doing with them.

The primers are brass. They are worth several dollars a pound. Keep saving them. I have a 5 gallon bucket half full, I am working on filling. When you feel you have a sufficient supply, take them to the scrap yard. It is a good way to get funds for other components.

much less than new ones....but joke aside, collect them and bring them to your local metal scrap place. I think the last time I dropped brass off it was something like $2.50/lbs. -  a mix of brass and spent primers.

Check different places, some won’t take spent primers but will take spent brass. Some don’t care either way.

A few phone calls to local recycle centers in my area says they are currently worth $1.90 - $2.00 per pound.

All depends on how many lbs you have, and if the recycling center is conveniently located I guess.

if your local recycle center is like mine I have gotten a flat tire there before. I would walk the bucket into this place!

When I went to deliver parts years ago to a scrap yard I got the front of my car ran over by a truck.  Ok I was an impatient 19 yr old at the time but I'm never going to a scrap yard again.

Yep. Although I still save them. Not really sure why though.

They also make great filler for sandbag type gun bench rests. Same with old pulled bullets.
