Ok, folks, we have pretty well covered capitalism, supply and demand, and how everybody else opinion on this subject is wrong. Let's get back to answering the question: "Anyone know where to find primers?". Any other posts are likely to disappear.

How many did you buy

None!

Post Sandy Hook, I had 8 ammo cans, like SAW cans or fat .50 cal cans.  Each can held 14 bricks of primers.  If I am math’ing correctly, that was 112,000 primers.

Then I had a few sleeves of 5 bricks each .

About a year or two after Sandy Hook, I posted a classified ad here on BE….

And on the doodie project forums….

I was asking $50 a brick. I even sweetened the pot.  If people bought a whole sleeve, then that was $225 and/or a free “Enjoy Capitalism” T-shirt.

I had my detractors then (aka howler monkeys) on doodie, plus one or two folks here, and several folks on a St. Louis shooting forum who went embarrassingly herpy derpy over my pricing.  Or so I was told.

I sold a few sleeves FTF in the St. Louis metro area.

Nobody took me up on the T-shirt offer though.

🙂

This time I’d rather just sit by and observe the “going ons” with respect to the primer shortage.

EDIT:

I think there was a sign next to the primers that said there was a limit of 4 per customer per day.

Small pistol primers are currently in stock at Natchez.

Just came in to post this

meanwhile, I’ve been waiting on Armadillo Arms for months now.  Emailed them several times to cancel the order - no response.  It appears that I have been scammed
