Reusing cases with a bit of powder left inside

Recommended Posts

I overcrimped a bunch of coated bullets, and have slowly been pulling them to redo correctly. Some of them are loaded with Bullseye, and some with Clay Dot. Bullseye is just about the right size to get caught in the flash hole, and no amount of tapping will clear all of it out. I've been keeping those cases separate. Is it safe to reload them with Clay Dot, or should I continue to segregate them and do a run of Bullseye loads later on?

They're fine to shoot, but scraping all the lead out of the chamber throats, the frame, and the forcing cone isn't much fun, and I'm also not too keen on running through billowing clouds of vaporized lead on the regular.
