gunner40sw
So I have jacketed 115 gr round nose. I have a bunch of n 320 and want to know if this is an good powder for PCC Link to comment
Adamj
Vit N320 is a great powder. I have used it in the past but moved to Clean Shot when N320 became too expensive for me. Link to comment
AKJD
I also use clean shot for PCC with 115 plated and for CO with 135 coated. I’m fairly new to PCC and am currently testing loads at 3.9 to 4.1 grains trying to find a load I like. Link to comment
LowSpeedHighDrag
Depending on your barrel length you might want to try N350. I normally use N320, but have been experimenting recently with N350, mainly because I have a lot of it. So far, so good. Link to comment
zzt
Sport Pistol powder is an equivalent of N320 if you run out. I would not go any slower the N320 no matter what barrel length you have. Link to comment

I LOVE how much cleaner it is on my gas system of the MPX Link to comment
Dirty_J
Sport pistol and cleanshot are my goto PCC powders. Link to comment
midvalleyshooter
Use the N320. I load 4 grains with 124's. Here is a link to the manufacturers loading info--> https://www.vihtavuori.com/reloading-data/handgun-reloading/?cartridge=89 Link to comment
Old3GNR
Titegroup would be my choice but hard to find, N320 is very good but more expensive N350 would not be my choice for 9 mm but I did try it for 9 x 23 Major loads. Link to comment
davsco
i (pretty new to reloading) did some pcc test loads yesterday with titegroup and e3 and decided to go with e3, just a hair more accurate. i'm not good enough to compare recoil impulse etc. Link to comment
AKJD
I’d like to try Sport Pistol but I’ve never seen a can of it. It’s like a unicorn here. Link to comment
HI5-O
115 jhp over N320. I would use the N350 in my open gun. Link to comment
71Commander
I'm a Dinosaur. I use Bullseye in my 9's. It's worked for over 100 years. Link to comment
Ccampo1129
I ran Autocomp with 115’s for a while. They shot super soft but figured out i was loading too light causing malfunctions. Loaded heavier and didn’t like the way the recoil felt(seemed too snappy) so i switched to Titegroup. I’ve noticed my gun runs cleaner and my dot returns to zero in a quicker/smoother fashion. 4.2-4.3 TG with a 115 makes PF! Link to comment

71Commander
Wish that there was a safe 9mm load using Clays. I have a ton of this stuff. Link to comment

I have four 9mm loads for four different guns. Major, minor, PCC and a poly coated load for my home club that does not allow plated or jacketed on steel. Link to comment
CocoBolo
I hear you I just paid $85 for two pounds of N320, the last two within 100 miles. When it runs out I'm going use some of the 16#s of WST I bought during the OBAMA decade. Now if I could just find a use for 8#'s of RedDot. Link to comment

Alliant used to publish tons of data for it, as well as all their other shotgun powders. Since this is a thread on 9mm, here are the max loads from their 2005 reloading guide. Data is using WSP and a 4" barrel. 115 FMJ, 1.12 OAL, 4.5gr for 1150 fps @ 32600 psi. 125 FMJ, 1.15, 4.5, 1145, 32000 147 XTP, 1.14, 3.4, 895, 32400 Works fine for 40sw and 45acp as well. Thanks for the Info. When I got the RedDot I loaded about a 1000 45's, it was ok but my goto for 45 is Clays (200gr SWC). Link to comment

It is as close to identical as you can get (so said Hodgdon at the time). I now use e3 for 45 bullseye with 185s and 200s. Also 40sw major and minor and 9mm minor. Link to comment
