IHAVEGAS
I understand the legal issues with gripe threads about vendors, but why can't USPSA issues be hashed out?? Are we worried about HQ coming up with a lawsuit against the #1 USPSA website?
BritinUSA
This is not our house, we’re all guests here and the host sets the rules. Its unfortunate that USPSA shutdown their own forum as that was the only place where members could express their opinions on the organization. Perhaps the membership should push the HQ to bring back a forum.

KellyB
The confusing part is, why is there a gripe? Something changed that wasn’t liked? Did they get involved before the rules change? Do they know the rules represent more than just a single faction of membership? It’s worrisome that all the griping is happening when the items to be changed are brought to the meeting by Area Directors (from their constituents) or through safety concerns or overall evolving of the industry. It’s like a business setting & the griping people have no idea how businesses work with meetings & such. An agenda is posted beforehand for all to see. This would be the prime time the yes folks or nay-sayers would talk with their AD to address their concerns. It could sway that AD’s vote one way or another. FB & internet fights with fake account names don’t count, that’s not a business practice. The ADs/voting members discuss the issue & the majority of the votes decide what the changes are to be or are declined. Each area is represented. All votes are equal. So why the griping? If they felt so strongly about it, you would think they would know the process & be part of the change they want to see. After the fact looks a tad overly dramatic. B_RAD
For some reason the powers that be here on this forum don’t want the threads to go in certain directions. I don’t know the reasons. I don’t necessarily like that about this forum but it’s their choice. So, I can accept it or choose not to come here. I’ll say I really only come here out of boredom. I like to discuss things about shooting and there’s a place here to do that. Though, this forum does get a little less interesting as time goes by. BritinUSA
The agenda item for the rule change is below: 13. Equipment Review and Rules Discussion-President, DNROI & DME It gives no details whatsoever, the first the membership knew of the exact changes was when the minutes were posted. That's an interesting observation from someone I have never heard from, know anything about or have ever been in contact with. Have you ever contacted your Area Director about anything? If so I bet they were happy to discuss it with you, if not, let me know and I can discuss it with them. But I guess since you're on the internet you know how it really is.... It does seem like we could be as aggressive advertising proposed changes as we are about publishing change notices.

This includes the organizations that comprise the shooting sports management. You can probably understand since the "discussions" devolve into petty childish name calling threads. The moderation staff are here to see that Brian's wishes are respected here. You are totally free to bitch about anything you want, just not here.
