Mark 7 - Ultimate Die Pack

I've purchased an Evolution (Manual) and I noticed that the  Ultimate Die Pack has changed. I'm going to be reloading 9mm Major on the press and wanted to know what the Dies used to be. I've searched the web and I haven't been able to find a list of the dies they previously used.

 

Currently it appears it all Lyman Pro Series Dies.

 

My questions are:

1. - What were the dies in the Original Ultimate Die Pack

2. - For those loading 9mm Major on an Evolution What are your recommendations on dies?

Hi Bubblehead,

 

The original Die Pack consisted of a Mighty Armory Decap Die, Mighty Armory Swage Hold Down Die, Redding Competition Re-Size Die, Lee Precision Universal Expansion Die, Redding Competition Seating Die w/ Micrometer, & Redding Competition Crimp Die w/ Micrometer.

 

Your 2nd answer I cannot answer because I only load 223 on my Evo. F.w.i.w. I do load 9mm on a Dillon 650 and the dies I prefer after trying an array of brands/types over the years are: Lee U die sizer, Lyman M-die expander, Redding competition seater and a Lee factory crimp.

I have the Lyman pro series dies a really like them. I couldn't get the Lee U die to work for me at all, it just kept pushing the decap rod back out the die.
