M18s are hard to find at a normal price. Is it possible to put a safety on X carry to make it more similar M18? Yes I am sig ignorant. Thanks Army retired here. I would not worry one bit about him mastering the M18. When I was a drill sergeant I taught marksmanship and the Army lesson plans make it possible to teach a monkey to clear, disassemble, assemble and qualify with any weapon.
