Did a quick search and didn't find it

38 super or SC brass I've got a buch of both and the guns run with either (I'll adjust the extractor once I get serious about this endeavor.

124 or 5 gr , Hytek bullets

What kinda loads have y'all come up with for minor.

Got e3, ASP, WST and a little TG

Thanks for the info in advance

the real question is why would you shoot 38sc in minor when you have such a huge amount of case space

Single Stack Minor. No point in making hot rounds when you are gonna be scored minor anyway.

Because I've got it and want to.

run the WST, its a high volume to grain powder so will probably give you some good consistent low SD loads. Plus the TG is hot and will smoke more... unless you dont have much, then load it up to burn it up.
SP is a better powder than both,. Save it for serious stuff.  E3, never used.

cause 9's are completely different case, rim, chamber, extractor and basically everything else.

I used to have an open gun that would shoot 9 mm, 38 Super comp, and 38 Super interchangeably, but what would I know

well then you had and oversized reamed out chamber,, and were head pacing off the extractor. good luck to you

That's a lot ,maybe most or all?, of barrels come pre-cut for 9 mm that people then lengthen for super or super comp, I don't think oversized is the correct term, overly long, yes. And of course it had spaced off the extractor, with no ill effects i might ad. All that said, it worked perfectly and the OP's might as well. And I don't need luck,  i test things, and then i know what works and what does  not

I shoot 9's out of my old open gun for about a year.

it's the reason I went to 9mm major with the other open guns I've had and have.

NOT the POINT

I've got the gun with a well fitted 38 super bbl and lots of 38 sc brass and want to play with it this winter (indoor USPSA league)

The cost of brass for the few outdoor matches I'll shoot with it isn't a big deal.  Also I'll get some of it back.

Just looking for minor info if someone has it

chillywig - if you don't mind sharing the  info, I've got other powder and if I can find what your using I'll buy some (IF I can find it) to try it out.

Thanks to all

j, TG sucks.  WST is too dense.  You could quadruple charge the case or more and still seat the bullet.  I use e3 for 9mm minor, 40 minor and major and 45 bullseye.  It works fine in all of them.  SP is a great powder but Alliant furnishes no load data for 38S.  Personally, I use a bulkier powder.  If you want to use SP, start with N320 startling load weight and work up.  If you have any N340 that's what I would use.  There is just something about that particular powder.

Its been a long time since I worked these up and don't have the chrono data. Everyone should get a little note book to keep all their notes in one place so you can remember what you did 10 years ago. I do now...

But they are 4.6gr universal under 125 zero 356 fmj @ 1.295. I used fed spp seated hard/deep for revolver to get reliable ignition.

These were for Icore and I remember the PF being ~128 out of my 627 with 5.5 inch barrel

Good luck

Take loads and go below start if you need to.

e3 has loads for shotguns only, so you would need to work up your own loads.

Don't know ASP.

4.7-5.0gn WST

4.0-4.3 TG

Never adjusted extractor for SC cases.

Not quite the same, but close to asking for minor loads for.45 Win Mag, when.45 Auto fits the role better.

Darn iPad will not let me type .45, as it instantly thinks the period is the the end of a sentence. Stupid autocorrect, with autocorrect off.

I use VV N340 for minor .38 SA loads. N320 works too but I get good accuracy out of the N340 and super reliability with a #15 Wilson flatwire recoil spring. I have a supply of N330 that I'm itching to try.
