sam_b
If your mags are working as is no. Unless you just want to go without spacers for whatever reason. The gen 1s are a little harder and mine don't need tuning as often as the gen 2s. I have a ton of both but shoot mainly the gen2 because that's what I've got that are tuned currently. Gpghost
I could give you a long answer as to why or just........no.
Sarge
I have a set of Gen 1 Open mags with glued in steel spacers. They work just fine. There is no need to replace them. I am switching over to MBX as my primaries and keeping the STI’s in reserve
RangerTrace
I've got 3 very old Gen1s with the plastic spacer and probably 20 of the Gen2. For 9mm and factory capacity, they all work as long as I keep good springs in them.

touji
What gun are you shooting them out of? I never liked the Gen 2s in any gun with a PT Evo cause I'd somehow mess it up and get them stuck
