MikeBurgess
With mid length open guns being all the rage currently, where is everyone finding there 5" threaded barrels? I see lots of government and commander length threaded bull barrels for sale at the usual places but not so much with mid length. are people just threading a 5" bull or is it a custom order from KKM or Barso etc.

Can order from both directly as well. You can also order from SV Infinity.

Bwenning
Here they are at KKM: https://kkmprecision.com/product/355-bull-clarkpara-ramped-threaded-1116x40-4/ The 5" is the oal, once you shorten your slide to allow for the comp, you have a mid length slide. Bwenning
I agree, the pics and descriptions could be better, what I don't like is that the pictures are generic and don't necessarily match the description.

Just like the slide lenght which is in between govt. and commander lenght. I don't think you can buy a 5" bull barrel already threaded for the build unless you order one directly from the manufacturer.
assaulter
Kkm has a 5" oal with .400 of threads. Or you can just start with a 5" barrel and thread it yourself if you have a lathe.

The problem with threading a regular bull barrel is you end up threading most of the large dia section of the barrel and on the bull barrel I was looking at would not have enough left to get a good lockup in the shortened slide.
