Honey Badger Trimmer - Which endmill?

Recommended Posts

I just purchased the FFB Honey Badger Trimmer, and I'm curious which endmill you all would suggest? I've read that some have had success with left hand spiral/right hand cut endmills because they keep the chips down off the motor bearing. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I went with the boring bar over the end mill.  From all the people I talked to and all the research I did that's what was suggested to me.  No matter how good of an end mill you get they still dull out quicker then carbide blades is what I was told.  We shall see

Guess it depends on how many you are doing.  I was told to plan for at least 7,000 cases per end mill.  The end mill was under $10.00 (got it from PM Industrial Sup., no connection,  Barry (owner) treated me very well), and since the edges are still like new when it is dull in the center, I can use it in my mill.  If I was processing a large quantity all the time, probably would have gone your route.
