Rfeustel
Hi, Does anyone have a source for loads OTHER than the data Lehigh Defense publishes? Specifically, I’m looking for recipes for LDs 325 gr Xtreme Defense bullet that drive the bullet over 2000 FPS. Alternatively, advice on how to think of this all copper in terms of reloading data for other bullets would be appreciated (starting from minimum published loads of course). Thank you. Farmer
Not certain of the Lehigh’s but I know Nosler recommends not loading above half way of their regular bullets with their solids. In other words if a Ballistic Tip shows a range of 30g min to 40g max, the max load for their copper bullet would be 35 grains. It holds pretty true also as I found out on the ones I tried. You may or may not be able to reach your FPS goal without higher psi’s. Now there can be a ton of variations between different manufacturers so that has to be account also.
