fireman1776
Are there any good options without dropping a couple hundred bucks? Im looking for something to film first person practice and matches.
N3WWN
If I were looking for another lo-cost 1st person camera, I'd probably try the RunCam 5 cube action camera: https://www.amazon.com/RunCam-4K-Xview-Sport-Camera/dp/B07SMNRLBG/ It does 1080P @ 120fps which is better than my current GoPro Hero Session 4 (720p @ 100 fps) at approx the same field of view. For me, I really like 100 fps or faster for 1st person video because it is easier to catch things like twisting the gun while pulling the trigger 0.01s before the gun goes off. If you're stuck at 30 fps (or even 60 fps), it's harder to catch things like that. You may have figure out a way to mount it to your hat (or wherever you want to mount it) because I don't believe it comes with a mount of any type. Nice and low profile (sits on the underside of the whichever hat I want to wear. I'm using a belt clip as opposed to drilling, so I can easily move it. https://www.facebook.com/Rez805/videos/10105269401618775/ There is a built-in gyro/stabilizer but it's not as good as a GoPro. Depending on how to wear your hat you can even catch if you had your finger in the trigger guard. https://youtu.be/R9a1a1yv5Ys Edited January 11, 2021 by Rez805
Chris51080
I know this is a little old, but I would recommend a GoPro Hero 5 Session. Its the small cube, lightweight, single button recording, great stabilization, ability to record 1080, 2.7k or 4k. Unfortunately its no longer made, so you need to find one used. Pair it with a hat mount and you have a great setup.

(uploading etc.) You can use the GoPro app to live stream footage to your phone. You can download videos from the camera to your phone with the app. https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/softwareandapp/gopro-quik-app-|-mobile/GoPro-Replay-App.html I don't upload directly, so I don't know how that works, but it appears that you are able to share to youtube or facebook through the app as well.
