I have played with most variations of the 320, shot most in matches, but this one is something special. 

Trigger is not quite amazing, reset is a little long for my taste, but crisp at 3lbs out of the box.

Grip fits me very well, feels like a slightly narrower p229.

I suspect this will be pretty damn popular.

I don't see the current version being very popular for competition. Perhaps if they made a full size grip, and even then, personally I would prefer the TX grip

I don't see this really being a competition hit either. Like you say, compact grip, short slide. etc. But then again, they made it tan, so I don't think competition was their aim. 

 

The TX grip is really nice, and has quite a bit of weight to it. If they make a full size aluminum grip mated to an x5 slide then yes, that's something. But at that point I might as well go back to shooting my CZs.
