Dillon RF100 cover

Recommended Posts

I have had the RF100 for over a year now, and I have to run it with cover lose. When I tighten the cover down, the primer stop moving. I tighten the cover just enough to keep the bolts from coming loose. If I don't tighten them down, the bolts back out all the time. Which well you guessed it, I have to stop and re-tighen them. If anyone has any ideas or had this happened to them can you please help me out.

I assume you have an RF100.  If not, ignore my post.  I only tighten the bolts by hand and they don't back out.  Yes, the setting is slightly different with and without the cover, but change the rheostat until you are satisfied with the primer activity.  Of course some primers (I only load SPP) are better than others.  In my experience CCI work best, Winchester are OK and S&B I wouldn't recommend.  I have loaded some Remington and the worked ok in the RF100 as I recall.
