If anyone wonders about the wall in the middle of the horseshoe-shaped pond in Frostproof, that's what it was; a wailing wall. Paper printouts of stage scores would be stapled up periodically during the match and when the last run was printed, that's when the hour started. You'd grab your handful of stage receipts and check each one to be sure nothing got mis-typed in stats. It was kind of fun in that you'd bang elbows with shooters you might otherwise never have seen at a match. Long ago at a Texas Open I was checking on the stats and pointed out to my girlfriend "Look I beat Mike Voigt on a stage". She of course said "Who's Mike Voigt?".
