I recently ran into the same issue of finding Titegroup and tried out AA2.  I tried 3.8 grains under 124 grain RMR plated round nose.  The rounds were very accurate and the felt recoil impulse was very good.  I may be sticking with AA2 if and when things return back to normal.

AA2 has been a great back-up plan for me. I do like the recoil impulse better with TG, but Accurate is pretty solid, too, and seems to most always be available somewhere.

Clays?

I like it

What's your recipe and power factor you're making? Type of gun and shooting?

I tried Clay's because I have a lot and couldn't make power factor within recommended levels, but that may have been using 115gr.

Thank you

Not a complete test, but a little something on Tightwad. In my 327 I compared E3 to Tightwad with a 83g plated DEWC. With 2.3 grains of both powders the E3 was running around 50 FPS faster and would consistently group in a nice cloverleaf. The Tightwad groups were about  2” and pressures seemed higher as per measuring cases. The E3 es was around 12, while Tightwad ran 30, and recoil was more snappy with TW.  It may work in other calibers but it gives me the impression that it’s kinda squirrelly. Kinda like International Clays. (Yeh I tried working that up one time) I know this isn’t much info because weathers been crappy but it’s a start. Tightwad does work good in 1 oz shotgun loads! 😀 low recoil & clean, but so does E3. I may play with it a bit more as time/weather permits.

I’ve been using Vectan GM 3 in place of Titegroup.  3.8 grs came out at 128 PF at the NAZC this year

Good to find another Vectan Gm3 user here. I replaced my Titegroup and Win231 (HP38) load with GM3. Grafs is local so no Hazmat and the price for 1.1 lbs is great. I bought 2 cases, shared it the info with my friends, and a few are going to try it this next year. So far 2 lbs use and shot, we like it.

Finally getting back to follow up on this.  Ended up with Clean Shot, definitely liking it so far.

Is it really cleaner than Titegroup? Can you share your load data?

Load data I am using is essentially the same at Titegroup.  Have only loaded 124gr so far at 2.8gr.  Honestly, it is cleaner, but not a whole lot cleaner, at least from what I have seen.  There are a lot of comparison photos out there, and the differences on those is pretty shocking.  However, from what I have seen, it is maybe 25% cleaner than Titegroup.  Still, it's cheap, and cleaner is still cleaner.

Win 231 & HP38 (same powder, different can) are really close to TiteGroup and cleaner... although not as clean as N310 or N320. I don't think you'll see any fall off in load performance with 231/HP38.

Is More Win 231 is needed then Titegroup?
