jim vaughan
Does anyone have standard dimensions for the cone on a compensator? This would be for a 2011 government length slide. I have just had a situation where the barrel would not pivot up into the slide lugs far enough due to a cone that was either too long or too wide. Although I fixed the problem, I would like to get better information for the next time.
38super
Slide hole diameter 0.700, cone diameter 0.695". Adjust to fit, don't want the cone to bind coming out of lock up. Keep a little gap between comp and slide. Some comps have a long (0.1-0.125") constant diameter between the taper and comp body. Some do this to compensate for short bbl lower lugs. Use a sharpie marker to show the wear marks. Edited September 21, 2020 by 38super
