SJBriggs
Took my blaster back to the smith today. He wasn't sure what could have caused the little breach face dent, but he did agree that it didn't look like primer erosion. He wasn't overly concerned with the off-center primer strikes, as this isn't unusual with 1911s. He also verified that the lock-up was as it should be. At this point, I could either take it to someone else, or just keep on shooting it. For now, I'm going to keep shooting it. The little dent may have been there all along and I just missed it. If it gets any worse, then I'll need to find a different course of action. I really can't complain too much. The thing runs like a top and eats any ammo that I throw at it. Except for that little flaw, it's been a great gun!
Don_B
I would think that dent was already there. There is not much way to hit the breechface hard enough to cause that. If the pistol is 100% reliable then just enjoy it!
