Keres Trigger with GG Competition Kit in an original X-Five

Yes. I installed the Keres trigger instead of the GG trigger that came on the GG competition trigger kit. You need to remove the overtravel screw since it’s not needed anymore once you installed the Keres because it has its own over travel and pretravel screws.

I like it better and had since sold the GG trigger.

Same. This is probably the best combination outside of getting a professional trigger job.

I have the Keres and GGI sear in an X-Five.

I left the Apex over-travel bushing in place.

You just turn the over-travel set screw in less.

And having the bushing in place makes the over-travel pin less prone to falling out

when removing/handling the FCU.

I just sold my Keres trigger to the OP. I had it on my standard x-five with the GG sleeve on. It worked but you don’t need the sleeve.

It’s a great trigger but I like a curved trigger since I have a small hand with a short index finger. I’ve switched to the adjustable GG curved trigger.

Just make certain that you won’t over adjust the pre travel  to keep the striker safety intact.

enjoy the trigger!

Do Keres triggers ever go on sale?  I’d like one to go with my gg kit but not sure if I want one at full price.

No, I've never seen them on sale.

You have to Pay to Play.

ETA :

Why not sell your GGI trigger to defray the cost of the Keres ?
