Desk-Jockey
Been playing with a jump to carry optics. 17 MOS is proving hard to find so I may go the dovetail mount route on an existing non-MOS 17. What is the best option for mounting an RMR this way?
Tampa-XD45
The EGW mounts are the better brand and still only $49. https://www.egwguns.com/trijicon-rmr-mount-for-glock I've used this cheapo version ($20) for 3 years with no problems: https://www.amazon.com/UTG-Dovetail-Hunting-Trophy-Mounts/dp/B07BK7SJF2/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=glock+mount&qid=1597093756&sr=8-
Desk-Jockey
So I was able to pick up a 17 MOS at a decent price which is going to take care of my needs for now. before I found the MOS I came across this mount from Suarez. https://suarezinternational.com/suarez-l-mount-universal-red-dot-base/ seems like an interesting and more durable option than something solely mounted on the dovetail. I didn’t end up buying it but wanted to pass along for posterity.
Bfrisk72
I like most of Gabe' stuff, I have his triggers and a slide on another G34 but haven't used the L-mount. I liked that it came with provisions for me to run backup irons, but did not like the idea that it used a proprietary backplate. I shot with an EGW plate (Vortex Venom) for a season while in Area 2, never had an issue with zero or the plate coming loose. --BF
BigMoneyGrip
I used the one from Outer Impact on my 17L. It was problem free for 3 1/2 years then I got a Gen 5 17 MOS. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

will77
Got the mount installed it’s well made locks in tight shot 300 rounds and nothing has moved, not to crazy about the rear slide plate but it should get me through this season. I’ll send my slide off for milling and put the mount on my 17 night stand gun.
