cjmill87
I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations on a camera setup to capture 3rd person video in order to diagnose movement and reloading issues, both in practice and at matches. I plan to use my iPhone for video but interested in tripod setups, iPhone mounts etc. as well as any tips and tricks that would be useful to take into account. N3WWN
Here is what I just recommended to some friends who were asking the same questions: Tripod: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009V314 Phone mount: https://www.amazon.com/DaVoice-Compatible-Adjustable-Smartphone-Attachment/dp/B00OS9E6AO Selfie stick that can be used to extend tripod height (plus lots of other accessories, including the phone mount) : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XZSJL2W I've never been one to like using a phone to record my own 3rd person video (although I do record a lot of other folks using their phones), so I use a GoPro. There's a deal on a GoPro Hero 8 bundle right now for $350: https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/cameras/hero8-black/CHDHX-801-master.html The Hero 7 is probably just as good for 3rd person video, though, and is currently $229, but you don't get the extra battery or anything.
