Finished my first 2011 build, now I need some help

I finished my first 2011 build. To my surprise it actually shoots and it is more accurate than I am. I am having some reliability issues, though. 

 

First issue is a sticking of the slide. When to the gun starts to get hot after a few rounds, the slide begins to get stuck in battery and it takes a lot of force to rack the slide and eject the spent casing. When the gun cools down again, seems to work fine for a bit.

 

Any ideas on why this is happening?

is the fit of the barrelhood verry tight?

I had an open gun with the same problem... only with VV 3N37 (no probs with 3N38 or N350) took .001-.002" from the lengt of the barrelhood and the problem was solved.

Something is to tight, Hood, bushing or slide, free it up a little and should still be OK.

mcattack, hood is not tight, its a bull barrel and the slide seems to move fine. 

 

Could it be the lugs? As the barrel heats up, could it swell and become to tight in the slide?

degrease everything, then take a Marks A lot, and mark all suspected areas, cycle the slide a dozen time and examine the marked areas for worn off marker

What specific parts of the barrel, slide, frame should I photograph?

Did you do the fitting / assembly of all parts or someone else?  I ask only because fitting correctly would require knowing where the slide / barrel and frame critical dimension points are.  As others suggested, sounds like allot of work with a sharpie & stones may be in your future...
