80’s pop music

When they first organized, well maybe.  But most bands you'll never hear about until they've figured out a sound and a way to write their own stuff.  Marley was born in 1945 and was making some sort of music in the 60's, 70's, and even into the 80's.

 

Peter Gabriel didn't have commercial success until the So album in '86.  But do you recognize him for being with Genesis in the 60's or him as a solo act later?
