Frank Single Stack holster restrictions are in Appendix D5 Item 20. The relevant one for you is “May not be manufactured, or cut lower than, and must cover the slide up to 1/2” below the ejection port.” So they don’t have to cover the ejection port, they just can’t be lower than 1/2” below the front of the ejection port.
