Pippu_Paladin
I'm planning to get an X95 Tavor for home defense, in .300blk so I can keep it loaded with subsonics and a can to keep it hearing safe, and a supersonic mag clipped on for a quick change if subs aren't doing it. I know MAC likes using a flow-through suppressor on his Tavors to keep from getting a ton of gas in his face, but the CEO of Q was going off on what a stupid idea slow-through suppressors are. I'm wondering what people on here think about these matters?
RangerTrace
I'm very happy with my Deadair Sandman S on my 300BLK. Though, I don't bother with subs any more. Body armor is too common these days, so I only run 110 grain Hornady ammo in mine.
Hi-Power Jack
Never thought about it before, but I wonder if there's a benefit to the large blast, directed at the bad guy. Yeah, you'll get some of it too, but you know he's in for a VERY LARGE BLAST in the face. Also alert your neighbors that something is going on next door (call police?). Just a random thought. ltdmstr
The SilencerCo Omega 9k works great for 300 BLK. It's probably not as quiet as bigger cans, but it's more than adequate, particularly with subsonic rounds. It's small size and light weight is also a big plus. Might be good, as a certain poetic fellow, perhaps from a civilization of combatants, said that your home defense gun needs to sound like a furious dragon descending upon invaders lest they not be scared away by the sound of your firing. He also said you want your neighbors to know you're shooting and hear that you are. Being as even suppressed "hearing safe" subsonic .300blk is louder than a jackhammer so I'd think your neighbors would notice what sounds like you firing off a nail gun in your house at 2am.
