Spare Bolt

Im running a MBX Pro Series.....thinking about purchasing a spare bolt.......what's the opinion on brand ?

I keep spare bolt and captured recoil spring assembly in range bag. 

 

I've had firing pins, firing pin clips,  and captured spring assembly all break at some point  in around 30,000 rounds of pcc.

 

In open div I've also had red dot optic go out mid match.

 

So  best option is spare gun of course.

My first PCC was an ATI Milsport. It broke a firing pin about 6000 rounds in. When I called them they sent me a bolt because they didn't service the pin separately. So I now have an extra bolt in my range bag. I haven't had to use it yet but a couple friends have used it when they have had pins break. As far as brands I wouldn't worry about it. It would be a back up so it would only be needed for an emergency until your MBX is fixed.

i'd go with a spare identical to what you have in your pcc.  why introduce another variable.

MBX doesn't make bolts.I wish I knew whose bolt they use.Then id get the same one.

Have you tried sending MBX a message asking what bolt they use?

I have an MBX with a Taccom bolt and it runs perfectly..

nothing beats a "spare gun" .. when your main gun breaks..

I have 2 iron city bolts. Their proprietary pvd coating makes cleaning easy. I have not lubed nor sprayed anything on the bolt since Ive bought it.... 9k rounds so far.

 

Their guy who does it did it for formula one race cars so it has to last and it has to run.

They are pricey, but I've had good luck with the JP bolts.

I always have a spare gun with me. Unfortunately they are not identical. I cannot afford 2 higher end guns. I do keep spare parts also incase the main gun can be fixed easily.
