I had my first experience as match director today and had a lot of fun at it. I didn't think I would learn so much about matches as I did this morning. Anyway we were on the last stage, second to last shooter and I was the RO. I was a little tired, setup at 7am that morning which continued from 3pm the day before, lots of running around, etc.

LAMR, shooter loads, gun on the table on the X, his hands on the table, ready to go. I held the timer out, just about to say are you ready, when the little voice in my head, you know the one, says "Something's not right". Look at the shooter, no problem there, look at the timer in my hand, I was ready to start him with my tapegun.
