NOSHMJ
What weight springs do you guys use for your mag releases on your open guns? Heavy, medium, or light?
echotango
Medium with 1 coil cut off. It will depend on your grip and if you hit it while shooting.
NOSHMJ
Thats my issue, I hit it while shooting, and have the mag fall out. I have small hands, so I need an extended release button. I was told to go heavy, but am curious what other guys use.
echotango
If you are using a buttom/paddle, get rid of it. Also you can shave down the mag release to the min length needed to drop a mag. I did this with my wife's mag release. Put a mag in and see where it releases. Then push it in all the way. You can remove most of that distance. NOSHMJ
I will try that on a spare release to see what happens.
Furrly
I too have short stubby hands, I was having the same issue with my limited blaster. I use the DP lo pro mag release button with a heavy spring, dry fire with it a few times and you will not have any issues dropping the Mag. shred
Heavy as a lefty and no paddles. Saves a surprise reload on surrender draws if you miss the grip...
NOSHMJ
So I got the Dawson heavy springs, seems like the problem is solved for me.
