Stafford
Trying to figure out what part(s) of my USPSA rig I can use in IDPA. I’m thinking I can just wear the inner belt, or outer belt, but definitely not both. My holster can be set up as a drop, but I just run it as a belt holster, so I’m thinking I’m ok with my belt and holster set-up. Correct? Are the USPSA style mag pouches ok to use or not? This is what I have: https://benstoegerproshop.com/uspsa-essentials-holster-belt-mag-pouch-rig/

If you have any doubts after reviewing that I'd be happy to help. IDPA 2017_Rule_Book.pdf
RePete
The holster must be run as a belt holster. The mag pouches (only 2) look OK and the belt MUST pass through all but 2 of the belt loops.
perttime
IDPA rule on how much the pouch must cover of the magazine seem clear enough. (Rule for how mouch of a revolver speedloader or moonclip pouch must cover takes some reading)
egd5
I downloaded the pdf SST_Schultz posted and read through the part about holsters. I am still not sure about the height the holster must be. I think it says the entire trigger guard must be above the belt??? Is that right? That seems awfully high. And what about the part about the 3/4" dowel rod? Do they still do that? For male shooters, the holster must carry firearm so that the entire front strap (to the trigger guard) is at or above the top of the belt. IWB holsters are exempt from this rule. The front strap and the trigger guard are not the same thing.
egd5
OK, thanks. I didn't know what the front strap was. Excellent diagram.

If you have a muffin top, you are GTG. FWIW When I shoot USPSA, I use my IDPA rig. Here are some pics from the 2005 rulebook that still apply. All IWB are legal. https://i.imgur.com/F9g0jRx.jpg?1[/img] https://i.imgur.com/RFdOyuX.jpg[/img]
