Recommendations for getting 2011 drilled/tapped for thumbrest?

I have a 2011 without thumbrest mounting holes that would need to be drilled/tapped for this. Any recommendations for who/where would do a good job on a quality and expensive piece? The smith who built it doesn't do it. Thanks.

Most mounts are a simple mill, drill, and tap ordeal. A competent machinist with a mill should be able to knock it out if you have the dimensions. Probably minimum shop time involved.

for 4 tap. holes on milling machine with all preparations for 2011 frame  it's ~1 hour work with few cups of coffee  .

i know shooters  that can do this in 5 minutes ,but to fix this job will take much more time and money .

i use to make 4   m4x0.7  tap. holes with 10mm distance  on 2011 frame. and i never  charge myself

Before drilling/tapping your frame, take a look at the NitroFin 2.0 integrated slide stop/thumb rest.  I use one on my SteelMaster and really like the angle of the thumb rest.  It's not as steep of an angle as most of the thumb rests that attach by screws.

+1 for tigal, I have these on my open and limited pistols. I like where my thumb rests better than the other style. No mod to the pistol, but will take some work to fit the pistol.

Did you find much fitting required?
