mgkrs
On a rifle with adjustable gas, is there a reason to go with one or the other? The 3-stage buffer has the extra springs, but the ULW is a big lighter.
stick
I adjust the gas block to my loaded round. Are you thinking of putting a Taccom (PCC) three stage buffer in a 223?
mgkrs
They have one for 223: https://taccom3g.com/product/223-three-stage-recoil-system/
TRUBL
The idea behind the 3 stage for the 223 is that you can run a little more gas, rather than almost shutting it off.....to have a more reliable system when the rifle starts to get a little dirty. AND.....you still get a soft shooting rifle.
lwink
If you do go with the taccom setup please report back your experience. I have the ulw with an iron city lightweight and sentry gas block in one rig and really like it, never had an issue And it’s soft, but I also clean my guns pretty regularly. also have a JP setup with light bolt, sentry block, and scs and that system tuned easily and love it too. that three stage buffer is interesting and not to $$ though, following for more user info on its benefits vs other systems.
